One of the best uses for alcoves on the upper floors is storage for clothes etc. symmetrical flanks to a cosy fireplace or either side of the bed.
But three alcoves to fill is a real luxury, even if these ones were t exactly symmetrical. Three roughly identical wardrobes from the outside, with the right combination of internals really makes the most of a dead space.
