As part of this Victorian house restoration, we were asked to build the facias, doors and drawer fronts to previously installed but unfinished off the peg set of cabinets. The general functionality of the cabinets was right, so there was no need to replace them, but the simply didn’t match the current kitchen and period of the property.

From measurements of the cabinet as well as detailed notes of the design features of the current kitchen, we designed and built the face frame and doors for each specific area. Constructed in the workshop, this large piece was dismantled and rebuilt and fitted onsite with little room for error.

Each detail was carefully considered from the unique skirting , and the tongue and groove panelling, to the custom made coving, fitted to the room making sure the original features were left intact for future proofing.

The results? A modern, functional storage unit transformed in to a period piece that will both suit the lives of the owner as well as the history of the property… and ultimately a satisfied customer.
